About Rachel

Rachel Barrett is a lawyer at McInnes Cooper's Sydney office, with a practice focused on property law, estates and trusts, and corporate law, including residential and commercial real estate transactions, refinances and migrations. A significant portion of her practice is dedicated to estate planning, estate administration and probate, and estate litigation, including preparing wills, powers of attorney and personal directives. She also advises on corporate matters such as transactions, contract drafting and review, and general business advice. Rachel is originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and completed her law degree at the University of New Brunswick after a Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University, where she received several academic prizes including the Emond Montgomery Prize in Property Law. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Cape Breton Barristers' Society and sits on the Board of Directors for the Lumière Arts Festival.
