About Timothy
Tim Thomas is a partner and real estate lawyer at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall, focusing on financing documentation for financial institutions and borrowers, leasing matters, and commercial real estate development, including the sale, purchase and financing of commercial, industrial and residential properties. For 35 years he has also served clients' personal legal needs through wills, powers of attorney, and estate planning and administration. Thomas was named the firm's Managing Partner from 1996 to 1999 and was admitted to the bar in 1986 after earning his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1984 and a BA from Carleton University in 1981. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for real estate law from 2021 to 2026 and is active with charities including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern Ontario.
