He also contributes to the firm's tax, intellectual property and public law litigation practices, and practises in both English and French. Lenz was called to the bar in 1993 after articling with the Supreme Court of Canada, having graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario in 1991. He is a part-time professor at the University of Ottawa Law School and has taught civil procedure at the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course, and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for administrative and public law, corporate and commercial litigation, director and officer liability, and legal malpractice.
