About Alain

Alain Bourassa heads the Intellectual Property Group at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall and practises across patent and trademark law, including the international coordination of patent and trademark registration and prosecution. He was called to the bar in 1993 and is also a registered patent and trademark agent, with an LL.M. focused on e-business law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2002. Bourassa has over 25 years of experience drafting, prosecuting and litigating patents and trademarks worldwide, helping businesses and venture capital firms protect and enforce their intellectual property in Canada and internationally. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1991 and practises in both English and French.
