About Renee
Renee is an immigration lawyer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who works remotely from Toronto, Ontario, advising individuals and corporate clients on temporary and permanent residence applications. She is engaged with the Nova Scotia Department of Justice's Independent Legal Advice Program, providing immigration-related advice to adult survivors of sexual assault and family violence, including on temporary resident permits and permanent residence options. Before her current practice, she worked at immigration law firms in Toronto and gained U.S. immigration experience at Deloitte Canada. She also collaborates with the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and has served as a panel judge for international moot court competitions. She earned her J.D. from the University of Newcastle in 2016 and a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Toronto in 2012, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2021.
