About Oleyna
Oleyna Strigul is a litigation associate at Sotos LLP whose work centers on intellectual property disputes and commercial matters such as franchise, licensing, and distribution conflicts, handled in both federal and provincial courts across Canada. She advises clients on trademark and patent disputes, licensing, IP enforcement, and questions of patent validity and infringement, along with issues tied to Canadian market entry and product commercialization. Before joining Sotos, she worked on pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent disputes before the Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court of Canada. Oleyna earned her J.D. from Queen's University in 2021, where she worked as a caseworker at the Queen's Business Law Clinic and coached the school's team for the Harold G. Fox Moot in Intellectual Property. She is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.
