Real Estate LawMichael Cook is a partner at Davies Howe LLP whose practice centres on land use planning and development law. He advises developers and landowners through the municipal approval process for large-scale projects and other residential, office, retail, industrial and mixed-use developments, and represents clients before municipal councils, committees of adjustment, land division committees, the Ontario Land Tribunal and the Toronto Local Appeal Body. He has taught planning law at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and sits on the board of the Black Planners and Urbanists Association. He holds an LL.B. from Windsor and a J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy, both from 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts from Reichman University in Israel. He was called to the Ontario bar in June 2011.
