About Alex

Alex is a partner at Davies Howe LLP focused on land development and development charges. He was called to the Ontario bar in June 2018 and brings to his practice earlier experience as a consulting planner, where he prepared planning studies, official plans and zoning by-laws and guided clients through the application process. He has appeared before the Ontario Land Tribunal, the Toronto Local Appeal Body, the Ontario Court of Justice and, in writing, the Court of Appeal. His graduate studies focused on spatial statistics, geographic information systems and large-scale development approvals, and at Osgoode Hall Law School he received the Robert W. Macaulay Scholarship in Land Use Planning Law. He co-authored an Ontario Bar Association piece on development charge reforms and the Community Benefits Charge regime.
