His graduate studies focused on spatial statistics, geographic information systems and large-scale development approvals, and at Osgoode Hall Law School he received the Robert W. Macaulay Scholarship in Land Use Planning Law. He co-authored an Ontario Bar Association piece on development charge reforms and the Community Benefits Charge regime.
