About Melanie

Melanie Comstock's practice focuses on insurance clients, self-insured organizations and adjusting companies, resolving casualty claims involving injury, fatality and abuse as well as commercial, property, professional liability and product liability claims. She also assists professional regulatory bodies with policy, registration and discipline issues, and has handled cases up to the Supreme Court of Canada. Melanie is a Harvard-trained mediator with developed skills in mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences, and is a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Insurance Law Section in Nova Scotia. She earned her LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 1998 and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1999. She has also represented Nova Scotia in national curling competitions, including the Scotties.
