Mark Rowlinson focuses on international law, trade law, and labour law, with his practice advancing the interests of workers, and he also advocates on climate and environmental issues. He joined the firm after a 26-year career at one of Canada's largest private sector trade unions, where he gained decades of experience litigating labour matters before boards, arbitrators, and courts across the country, including cases brought under Canada's trade agreements. His climate-related work includes a decade as President of Blue Green Canada, an alliance of labour unions and environmental groups, service on the federal government's Just Transition Task Force in 2018, and six years on the board of the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in labour and employment law and is a long-time member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
