About Angelika
Angelika Heim represents clients in the business of entertainment, media, and digital content, advising on transactional matters, disputes, and business strategy across film, television, branded content, talent agreements, music, publishing, and digital content. She helps shepherd film and TV productions from development through post-production, including securing rights, negotiating distribution and broadcast agreements, and navigating funding and tax credit opportunities. Her music clients range from emerging artists to JUNO- and Grammy-winning performers, and she advises independent labels and publishers on licensing and the sale of intellectual property, including catalogue and publishing deals. Before becoming a lawyer, Angelika worked in creative roles in theatre, television, news, film, and magazine publishing. In 2024 she was named to Billboard Canada's inaugural Power Players list. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2005 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Windsor and a B.A. in Theatre and English from the University of Western Ontario.
