Scott Simser is a senior employment litigation lawyer at Achkar Law whose practice covers terminations, severance and executive severance, employment contracts and independent contractor agreements, human rights, workplace investigations, and labour and employment compliance, along with judicial review and appeals. He earned his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, an MBA from York University, and a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Ontario bar and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. His reported decisions include Canadian Association of the Deaf v. Canada (2006), a human rights decision cited by several Federal Court cases, and Re Ross (2003), a bankruptcy matter cited twice by the Supreme Court of Canada.
