About M.

M. Ingrid Ruiz is an associate at TDS practicing corporate and commercial law, financing and intellectual property law, with a particular interest in entertainment law. She advises businesses and entrepreneurs on protecting intellectual property, including ownership, commercialization and risk management strategies, and also advises on IP licensing agreements, chain of title verification and transfers of ownership. In addition to her IP work, Ingrid acts for lenders and borrowers in financing transactions. She has completed certificate programs in entertainment law and IP licensing at Osgoode Hall Law School and a copyright master class through McGill University and the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. Ingrid holds a Juris Doctor (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts (2015), both from the University of Manitoba, and was called to the Manitoba bar in 2021. She sits on the board of directors of the Winnipeg Film Group.
