About Alan
Alan is a lawyer at TDS in Winnipeg who provides mentorship and guidance to lawyers at the firm and is available as an arbitrator and mediator. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba and was called to the Manitoba bar in 1966, then practised as one of Manitoba's leading civil litigators. He was appointed a part-time judge of the Provincial Court of Manitoba in 1978, named Queen's Counsel in 1980, appointed a full-time judge of the Court of Queen's Bench of Manitoba in 1992, elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2007, and retired from the bench in May 2018.
