About Joshua
Josh's practice spans union organizing law, employment class actions, collective bargaining, and grievance arbitration. He advises unions on internal affairs, bargaining, and public policy consultations, and works closely with organizers on strategy. His class action work helps groups of non-unionized workers enforce their rights, and he has helped secure multi-million dollar settlements for security guards, travel agents, and fitness workers over misclassification, wage theft, and unpaid overtime. Josh teaches in the McMaster Labour Studies certificate program and at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where his course looks beyond the standard labour law model to construction, film, and gig economy work.
