About Gordon
Gordon N. Forsyth, K.C., is a longtime leader in union-side labour law across Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador, practicing since 1984. He represents employees and trade unions before administrative tribunals including the Workers' Compensation Appeal Tribunals and Labour Relations Boards of both provinces, the Construction Industry Panel of Nova Scotia, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada. He has developed deep experience with construction trade unions and is recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada and as a Chambers Band 1 lawyer for labour law representing unions in Atlantic Canada. Gordon chaired the Labour Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association in Nova Scotia from 1987 to 1993, helped draft the province's Commercial Arbitration Act, and taught in the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Bar Admission Course from 1998 to 2007. He is a Charter Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1984 and the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 1993.
