About Nakita

Nakita practises Aboriginal law, labour and employment law and corporate law. Her Aboriginal law work involves creating and amending policies to improve governance and reflect the priorities of First Nation clients, while her corporate practice includes guiding businesses through reorganizations in collaboration with tax experts. In labour and employment matters she advises on employment rights, terminations, workplace investigations and workforce planning, and she also has experience with real estate and estate planning. She sits on the firm's Promotion of Women committee and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Canadian Bar Association. Nakita earned her J.D. from Université de Moncton in 2018 and a B.Sc. in Biology from the same university in 2015, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2019.
