About Frank

Frank Tierney co-founded Tierney Stauffer LLP in the early 1980s with his brother Stephen. His practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, disability claims, and historical sexual assault matters, acting exclusively for plaintiffs in claims arising from serious injury or death, including automobile, aviation, and train accidents. He has appeared at every level of court, including as lead counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, and has represented police departments in shooting-death hearings. Frank helped raise $3.5 million for the Ottawa Hospital's CyberKnife surgical tool and chaired a $3.5 million campaign for its Dermatology Centre of Excellence, and has served on the board of the Brain Injury Association of the Ottawa Valley. He holds a B.A. (1980) and an LL.B. (1981) from the University of Ottawa and belongs to the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association's Medical Malpractice Specialty Group, and The Advocates' Society.
