About Dana

Dana Tierney has practiced litigation and advocacy at Tierney Stauffer LLP since joining as a partner in 1986, giving him more than 35 years of mediation, arbitration, trial, and appellate experience. His early career focused on commercial litigation, including employment disputes, construction and lien claims, and the professional liability of lawyers, architects, engineers, and real estate professionals. As the firm's commercial litigation and employment law practice grew, Dana took on leadership of that group and expanded his own practice into personal injury litigation, representing plaintiffs in cases involving wrongful death, brain and spinal injuries, and medical malpractice. He works out of the Ottawa office and also travels to the Cornwall and Kingston locations. Dana holds an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa (1984) and is a member of the Ottawa Construction Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association's Medical Malpractice Specialty Group.
