About Eric
Eric Appelt maintains a diverse litigation practice in commercial disputes, professional liability, and insurance defence, acting for individuals and corporations across a range of industries. His commercial work includes shareholder disputes, business and reputational loss actions, and commercial tenancy matters, along with post-judgment enforcement and collections, and he appears before the Alberta Court of Justice, Court of King's Bench, Court of Appeal, and Federal Court. Eric was called to the Alberta Bar in 2019 after earning his J.D. and B.Comm. with distinction from the University of Alberta. In his regulatory practice, he has acted before tribunals including the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and several other health-profession colleges, often where disciplinary complaints intersect with civil litigation such as medical malpractice claims.
