About Dan

Dan Bokenfohr advises union and non-union employers on labour, employment, workers' compensation, occupational health and safety, and administrative law matters, with deep experience in termination issues, human rights complaints, grievance arbitrations, and workplace investigations. He regularly represents unionized employers in labour arbitrations and before the Alberta Labour Relations Board on certification, unfair labour practice, and successorship applications, and defends employers and contractors in occupational health and safety prosecutions, including workplace fatality cases. Dan was called to the Alberta Bar in 2002 and the Northwest Territories Bar in 2018, holding an LL.B. and B.Comm. with distinction from the University of Alberta. He chairs the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army Edmonton and has coached with the Hawks Athletic Club and the St. Albert Ringette Association.
