About Christopher

Christopher Buchanan represents employers and businesses across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut on employer-employee relations, human rights complaints, and collective bargaining, litigating before the territorial Supreme and Territorial Courts, the Nunavut Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for the Northwest Territories, and the Federal Court of Canada. Raised in Yellowknife, he was called to the Northwest Territories Bar in 2013, the Nunavut Bar in 2017, and the Yukon Bar in 2024, having earlier been called (and since resigned) in British Columbia in 2012, and holds an LL.B. from Dalhousie University and a B.Sc. (Honours) from the University of Guelph. Christopher previously served as President of the Law Society of the Northwest Territories and as Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Labour and Employment Section for the Northwest Territories Branch. He has also served on the CBA's National Board of Directors and volunteered with NWT Pride.
