About Edward

Edward Ackerman is a partner in Paul, Weiss's Private Equity M&A Group in New York, advising private equity firms and strategic clients on M&A, carve-outs, joint ventures, equity financings, restructurings, and general corporate matters. He also has experience with investment management M&A and strategic partnerships, representing clients such as Authentic Brands Group, Bain Capital, Brookfield Asset Management, and Simon Property Group across deals spanning retail, technology, and consumer products. In 2023, The M&A Advisor named him Legal Advisor of the Year, and The Legal 500 has recommended him for private equity buyouts work every year from 2020 to 2026. MergerLinks ranked him among the top 10 M&A lawyers in North America by deal volume in 2021. Ted earned his JD from Brooklyn Law School, graduating magna cum laude, and a BA from New York University, and is admitted to practice in New York.
