About David

David has practised almost exclusively in insurance law since 1985. His work centres on third-party tort motor vehicle claims, health law and class actions, special investigation claims, and product and commercial liability, along with providing coverage opinions in those areas. He argued a case before the Supreme Court of Canada in 2005 and appears regularly before the Court of Appeal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in both jury and non-jury matters, including complex cases on negligent entrustment and rescue law. David chairs the firm's Health Law and Coverage practice groups and was named Lawyer of the Year for Insurance Law in Toronto in 2021 and 2023, having been listed in Best Lawyers in Canada since 2015.
