About Hillel

Hillel David is an associate lawyer whose practice, spanning more than 35 years, has concentrated on insurance defence, subrogation claims and appellate work, including roughly 150 appeals to the Ontario Court of Appeal. He also provides opinions on coverage and legal issues and has acted as counsel in numerous jury and non-jury trials. After his call to the bar in 1973, he was appointed law clerk to the Chief Justice of the High Court of Ontario. His practice areas include class actions, property insurance, directors' and officers' liability, municipal liability, product liability and professional liability. Hillel earned his Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Civil Laws and Bachelor of Laws from McGill University and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association.
