About Alex

Alex Reyes is a partner at Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP whose insurance litigation practice covers a wide range of areas. He defends personal injury claims on behalf of insurers and self-insured clients, including motor vehicle liability, occupiers' liability, and product liability matters, and he also defends professional negligence claims against lawyers, financial advisors, health practitioners, and insurance brokers. Alex has a particular interest in coverage matters, life and disability claims, and fraudulent investigations, and he acts as a legal agent for the Department of Justice Canada and as panel counsel for the Ontario Ministry of Attorney General on coverage issues. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario as well as the Financial Services Commission of Ontario and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal. He earned his Honours BA from the University of Toronto in 2006 and his JD from Queen's University in 2010, and was called to the bar in 2011.
