About Daniel
Daniel Iny practices civil litigation out of Goldblatt Partners' Toronto office. He started practicing law in 2003 and came to the firm in 2008, after a stint as a prosecutor of environmental offences with Ontario's Ministry of the Environment. His caseload covers a range of civil and commercial disputes involving individuals, institutions, trade unions and not-for-profit housing co-ops. He concentrates on professional negligence and discipline work, with particular attention to defending lawyers facing negligence claims, plus wrongful dismissal litigation for employees, defamation, contract disputes and civil claims against police. Daniel also advises non-unionized employees on employment contracts and negotiates severance and termination packages. He earned both his common law and civil law degrees from McGill University in 2002, added a Master of Laws in 2005 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, and, before law school, graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University, earning a bachelor's degree.
