About Cody

Cody Kessler is a Principal with Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers, focusing on corporate and personal tax planning, including corporate reorganizations, business succession planning, tax structuring on business acquisitions and sales, and trust and estate planning. He also advises on real estate-related BC taxes such as the speculation and vacancy tax and Vancouver's empty homes tax. He currently chairs the Canadian Tax Foundation's Vancouver Young Practitioners Group Steering Committee. He received his Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University's Faculty of Law in 2020, winning several academic awards, and assisted low-income clients at the TRU Community Legal Clinic during his studies.
