About Jill

Jill Swanston's tax practice centers on corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, and the structuring of financings for Canadian and international private and public clients across industries including manufacturing, technology, natural resources, entertainment, and transportation. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked as a Chartered Accountant, including as a senior manager in the tax group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She earned a B. Applied Arts from Ryerson University in 1990 and an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 2005, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2006. She belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and presents for the Law Society's Professional Legal Training Course.
