About Aakriti
Aakriti Dewan assists clients in tax, trust and estate planning with a focus on U.S./Canada cross-border transactions, and assists U.S. citizens and green card holders with expatriation tax issues. Prior to joining Legacy, she practised in Ontario exclusively in cross-border tax, trust and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, and before moving to Canada in 2019, practised in cross-border tax litigation in Delhi, India, representing the Income Tax Department of India before the Court of Appeal and Tribunal. She earned her Master of Law in International Business Law, with a focus in tax law, from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2020.
