About Jennifer

Jennifer Flood is a partner in the firm's Vancouver office representing companies and individuals in complex tax disputes, spanning both civil and criminal matters. She guides clients through tax audits, administrative appeals, Tax Court of Canada trials, and judicial review, and also defends people facing criminal investigation or prosecution for tax evasion and related Criminal Code offences. Trained as both a tax lawyer and a criminal defence counsel, she has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia as well as the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, handling cases involving the General Anti-Avoidance Rule, CRA voluntary disclosures, search and seizure of records, and Charter challenges to tax authority actions. In her pro bono work she assists low-income clients with benefit disputes and applications for relief from interest and penalties, and represents individuals and organizations in public interest litigation. Jennifer holds a BSc Honours in Physics from Queen's University and a JD from the University of British Columbia, and clerked at the BC Court of Appeal before entering practice.
