Areet Kaila is a Principal with Legacy Tax + Trust Lawyers, assisting clients with personal and corporate tax matters, corporate reorganizations, estate freezes and business succession restructuring. She also advises on tax-driven trust and estate planning, immigration and emigration tax considerations, and advises charities and non-profits on registration, tax compliance and structuring. She received her Bachelor of Laws (with distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2010, was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2011, and was previously a partner at a large regional firm. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Tax Law and Trusts and Estates.
