About Chris
Chris Macleod specializes in governance and land management, with expertise in consultation and accommodation, First Nation constitutions, laws and policy, land code, taxation and fiscal management, and treaty negotiation and implementation. Since 2011, he has worked extensively with First Nations on land management and development issues, having spent roughly a decade with Yukon First Nations as a policy analyst and consultant on governance, land management, land title, and environmental assessment. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science, a law degree from the University of Texas, and a master's degree in Indigenous governance from the University of Victoria. Originally from Winnipeg but raised in Mississauga and Dallas, Texas, he joined the firm as an articled student in 2019 and became a lawyer in 2020, when he was called to both the BC and Yukon bars.
