About Giles

Giles Deshon is a partner practising civil litigation including bodily and brain injury claims, insurance, defamation, estate litigation, and corporate litigation. He has a background in commercial and contractual litigation across Australia, England, and Canada, with extensive jury and judge-alone trial experience in British Columbia and Ontario. Deshon earned a B.A. in Government & Law and an LL.B. from the University of Queensland (1993, 1995), and was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland and England/Wales before being called to the Ontario bar in 2006 and the British Columbia bar in 2009. He joined Carfra Lawton as an associate in 2009 and became a partner in 2012, and has represented Australia and Canada internationally in ultimate frisbee.
