About Andrew

Andrew Mendelson specializes in Aboriginal rights and title litigation, focusing on Indigenous land rights and environmental justice. He has worked at Woodward & Company since 2020, contributing to the Quw'utsun Nation's legal victory recognizing title at Tl'uqtinus village lands, and currently represents the Cowichan Nation in Aboriginal rights and title claims. Before joining the firm he worked at Ecojustice, a public interest environmental law organization. He holds an undergraduate degree in environmental biology from Queen's University, a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Toronto, and a law degree from the University of Victoria (2019) with a concentration in environmental law and sustainability. Originally from Ontario, he was called to the bar in both Ontario and British Columbia in 2020.
