About Alison

Alison McMeans is a certified collaborative lawyer and accredited family law mediator who favours out-of-court resolution through negotiation, mediation, or the collaborative law process. She advises on property division, spousal and child support, guardianship, and parenting time, and prepares separation and cohabitation agreements, while also acting as an experienced litigator when court is unavoidable. She graduated from the Allard School of Law at UBC in 2005 and worked as a journalist in the UK and UAE before beginning her legal career on Vancouver Island; she has been a member of the Law Society of BC since 2016.
