About Ben
Ben Frenken represents clients at all levels of court in Alberta, in both trial and appeal, and also provides alternative dispute resolution services including mediation, arbitration and med-arb. He counsels individuals and corporations on civil, regulatory, corporate governance, compliance, sport dispute, employment and defamation matters, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants, including in class actions. He holds a designation as a Qualified Construction Adjudicator from the ADR Institute of Canada and adjudicates serious maltreatment complaints in sport, and he advises companies on protecting confidential information and other privacy matters. He studied classics and law in Halifax, graduating from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2012, and was called to the bar in Ontario in 2013 and in Alberta in 2015. While at Dalhousie he helped found the Weldon Literary Moot Society in support of Halifax Humanities 101.
