About Chad

Chad Babiuk practices civil and commercial dispute resolution, acting in disputes arising from commercial transactions, construction, product liability and professional negligence claims. He also handles employment, defamation and privacy matters and regulatory investigations. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Calgary in 2005 and joined Code Hunter the following year, becoming a partner in 2012. He has appeared as trial and appeal counsel before superior courts in several provinces, the Federal Court of Canada, and before administrative boards including the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board and the Alberta Surface Rights Board. He also has experience in private arbitration and mediation. Mr. Babiuk volunteers as an advising lawyer with Student Legal Assistance at the University of Calgary and teaches oral advocacy for the Law Society's bar admission course.
