About Carla

Carla Murray has broad legal experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel for various companies, institutions and organizations. She joined Code Hunter as counsel in 2019, having previously been appointed to the Alberta Court of Justice as a judicial Justice of the Peace and Traffic Commissioner. Her practice covers commercial and general litigation, including shareholder disputes, contract interpretation and employment conflicts involving wrongful dismissal and alleged breaches of fiduciary duty, as well as corporate restructuring and insolvency litigation, including bankruptcy, receivership and CCAA matters. She has served as litigation counsel for the Alberta Securities Commission and the Real Estate Council of Alberta, and as a member of the City of Calgary's Licensing and Community Standards Appeal Board. She earned her LL.B. from the University of Calgary in 1999 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2000.
