About Shawna
With more than ten years in practice, Shawna Nahal advises lenders, business owners, developers, and professionals on corporate, commercial, financing, and litigation matters. She represents clients in a range of civil litigation matters and has appeared before administrative tribunals, in mediations, and at all three levels of court in Alberta. Her practice includes representing lenders in financing and foreclosure matters, structuring security documents, and acting on the purchase and sale of business assets and shares, including franchises. She also advises on commercial real estate transactions such as acquisitions of office towers, shopping plazas, and multi-family buildings. Shawna was called to the Alberta bar in 2017, holds a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School (2015) and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Leicester (2013), and speaks English and Punjabi.
