About Yin
Yin Kot joined the firm after clerking at the Federal Court of Canada for the Honourable Lobat Sadrehashemi, where they worked on judicial reviews of administrative decisions and class actions with a focus on immigration and refugee law. Before that clerkship, Yin summered and articled at another union-side labour firm in Toronto. While studying at Osgoode Hall Law School, Yin completed an eight-month placement with the Migrant Rights Division at Parkdale Community Legal Services, sat on the PCLS Board of Directors as student representative, and served as a senior editor of the Journal of Law and Social Policy. Yin holds a BA (Hons, High Distinction) in Criminology and Sociolegal Studies from the University of Toronto and was called to the bar in 2023.
