About Matthew
Matt was called to the bar in 2024 following a judicial law clerkship with the Divisional Court in Toronto, where he assisted judges on judicial reviews of labour arbitration and administrative tribunal rulings as well as civil, class action and regulatory appeals, and sharpened his written and oral advocacy. While studying at Osgoode Hall Law School he spent eight months in the Workers' Rights Division of Parkdale Community Legal Services, representing federally and provincially regulated employees in wrongful and constructive dismissal, human rights, and employment standards matters before boards such as the Canada Industrial Relations Board and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. He chaired the summer student bargaining unit's negotiating team there and volunteered with the Workers' Action Centre. Matt graduated in the top two percent of his class at Osgoode, and before law school worked on staff for a Toronto union local in the education sector.
