About Danielle
Danielle Stampley is a partner whose court work spans several provinces at every level, and she has also appeared before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, and the Canada Industrial Labour Relations Board. In her labour practice she advises unions and professional associations on certification, collective agreement matters, labour board proceedings, and civil litigation, particularly judicial review and appellate work, and she also advises unions on their pension and benefit plans. On the employment side, she advises non-unionized employees throughout the employment relationship, from reviewing agreements to representing them in disputes after termination. Danielle began her employment and labour practice at a boutique Toronto firm, having previously worked as a litigator in New York representing pension funds and institutional investors in securities class actions, and she clerked for the Honorable Mary Ellen Barbera on the Maryland Court of Appeals. She was called to the New York bar in 2010 and the Ontario bar in 2016, after earning her J.D. summa cum laude from American University's Washington College of Law. She is co-counsel to the class in Heller v. Uber, seeking Employment Standards Act protections for Ontario's Uber drivers.
