About Brendan
Brendan is a partner whose work focuses on collective bargaining, union organizing campaigns, the construction sector, and workers' compensation claims. Since being called to the bar in 2011, he has appeared before various administrative tribunals and courts on behalf of workers and their bargaining agents in significant labour and employment cases. He comes from a working-class background and was the first in his family to attend university, an experience that shapes his commitment to workers' rights. His recent matters include representing the Society of United Professionals in challenges to random drug and alcohol testing at nuclear facilities, acting for Jan Morningstar in a judicial review of Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal decisions, and representing the United Food and Commercial Workers in organizing Toronto-area Uber Black drivers. He earned his JD from the University of Toronto in 2010 and has served on the board of the legal aid clinic IAVGO since 2018.
