About Sonny
Sonny Bhalla is Of Counsel at Caravel Law, where he works on mergers and acquisitions of privately held companies, equity and debt financing deals, sales of shares and assets, and shareholder or limited partnership arrangements. He shapes transactions for private equity funds and their principals and advises boards and in-house counsel on governance and risk management, with past clients including CommunityLend Holdings Inc., Financeit Canada Inc., and Storage Appliance Corporation. Sonny has served as lead banking and corporate counsel on complex, multicurrency syndicated credit facilities and as principal legal advisor to issuers, sponsors, and developers on project financing and capital markets infrastructure deals. He also brings capital markets experience in high-yield, convertible, and cross-border offerings, having led large deal and diligence teams in Canada and abroad.
