About Ward

Ward Mather joined Miles Davison LLP in 2002 as an articling student and became a partner in 2010. His litigation practice covers commercial and civil litigation, insurance defence, sport and adventure liability work, administrative law, employment law, and debtor and creditor claims, and he serves as general counsel for private corporations, not-for-profit associations, and national sport organizations. Mather has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta, defended claims in the British Columbia Supreme Court, and represented amateur athletes before FINA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Calgary and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2003.
