About Trudy

Trudy Au represents clients facing charges across criminal law, including assault, robbery, fraud, and drug offences, and has served as junior counsel on complex cases involving murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder. She also represents complainants in sexual assault cases to protect their privacy and dignity rights, and appears in judge-alone and jury trials throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. Au completed a Bachelor of Arts at Simon Fraser University before earning her Juris Doctor from Bond University in Australia, where she took part in moots and human rights, domestic violence, and criminal law clinics. She articled under Gloria Ng and was called to the bar in 2020. Au provides legal services to Cantonese-speaking clients and belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and the Association of Legal Aid Lawyers.
