About Austin
Austin Nix ran his own legal practice focused on criminal and regulatory offences before joining Platform Litigation, appearing in courthouses throughout the Lower Mainland. He represents clients facing a range of criminal offences in provincial court and has acted as co-counsel on serious cases involving murder, manslaughter, firearms offences, and fentanyl production. Nix received his J.D. from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in 2019, where he competed in the Arnup, Sopinka, and OTLA Cup moots, and completed a placement with the North Bay Crown Attorney's Office through Lakehead's Integrated Practice Curriculum. He holds two Honours B.A. degrees from Carleton University in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and in Law and Legal Studies. Nix was called to the British Columbia bar in 2020.
