About Marvin

Marvin Stern has practised criminal law for over 45 years, beginning his career as a Crown prosecutor for seven years in Manitoba and British Columbia. He has focused much of his career defending clients charged with serious drug offences, impaired driving, sexual offences, aggravated assault, and murder, appearing throughout British Columbia as well as in Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland. He has represented clients from many walks of life, including a sitting Member of the Legislative Assembly. He regularly lectures other lawyers on legal trends and techniques and has taught judges and prosecutors oral trial techniques in Ethiopia. He is frequently called on by media outlets including the Bill Good Show and CBC, and volunteers with Big Brothers of B.C., McLaren Housing Society, and the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
