About Steffi

Steffi Tran is an associate at Deeth Williams Wall, where she practices intellectual property and information technology law. Her work spans technology contracting, privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection, and she has also handled pharmaceutical patent litigation and trademark files. Before joining the firm, she gained experience at the Ministry of the Attorney General, at legal clinics helping low-income communities, and at a Toronto startup that built legal technology using machine learning and AI. She earned her law degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and an honours science degree from the University of Toronto, where she double-majored in genetics and in ethics, society and law while minoring in psychology. Steffi started at the firm as a summer student in 2020 and completed her articles there in 2022. She belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Canadian Technology Law Association, and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
